The Return of Ditton
The Milward Contractors Ditton Priors Stages Rally
 
Sunday the 1st of November saw the return of the popular single venue stage rally at Ditton Priors, in Shropshire.
The event was organised by Telford Auto club and sponsored by Milward Contractors of Shrewsbury who have jointly been redeveloping the site over the last few months.
 

The rally attracted nearly a full entry of competitors who tackled 9 special stages covering a distance of approx 35 miles on tarmac roads, in woodland and open farmland. The Ditton venue is a very technical rally and you have to know how to drive it. With clean driving and consistent stage times you should be in for a good result.

Rally of Great Britain
 
 

The newly named Rally of Great Britain, formerly Wales Rally GB took place on the 22-25th October. Starting in Cardiff, the rally offered 16 stages in the Welsh forests, with wind, rain and very slippery conditions on some stages making driving conditions tough.

CAMBRIAN RALLY

 

Lewis and Hunter Contracting Cambrian Rally 2009
 
On Saturday 17th October, North Wales Car Club organised the Cambrian Rally. Sponsored this year by Lewis and Hunter contractors, the Cambrian Rally consisted of 45 miles of competitive action in the challenging North Wales forests of Clocaenog and Penmachno.

PATRIOT STAGES

 

Four crews from Ludlow Castle Motor Club took part in the Patriot Stages Rally at the MOD Camp in Caerwent, Nr Chepstow, on Sunday 27th September.
The event was a round of numerous tarmac championships and attracted a full entry of 100 cars, and competitors were greeted with perfect, dry conditions.

NEATH VALLEY STAGES

Sponsored by mobile phone company Get Connected, and organised by Three Counties Car Club, the Neath Valley Stages rally took place on Saturday, 15th of August. The start, Rally HQ and main service area were all in the Walters Arena complex in Rheola forest, South Wales.
 

Ludlow Castle Motor Club had 3 members taking part, including one half of the Voodoo Escort team, Joe Price and Chris Brookes.
